Welcome to The Mock Sports’ newest show on our podcast channel – Off The Track!
This is a show aimed at interviewing jockeys, trainers and horse racing/sports personalities. We want our listeners to get the opportunity to hear what their favourite stars are like both on and OFF the track.
Each episode will see The Mocks interviewing a personality and hearing stories about their careers and what they like to get up to in their spare time.
In this first episode, Nick and Cashy were joined by jockey Tim Clark. Tim is one of the top jockeys in the country with 22 Group 1 victories to his name and if you don’t recognise him straight away, you’ll remember him from his stellar rides on Alligator Blood in the recent Spring Carnival!
We spoke to Tim about his humble beginnings in the country before making a move to the city and what went into the decision of moving yet again, this time to Hong Kong. We discuss the difference between Hong Kong and Australian racing as well as the impact that horses such as Hot Danish and Alligator Blood have had on his career!
Of course, Off The Track wouldn’t be complete without getting to know Tim away from the racing. We find out how Timmy likes to celebrate after a winning day and discover his love for the Newcastle Knights.
We hope you like it, let’s jump on in!
