A fine return to form last weekend with a couple of winners at decent odds as well, quite happy with Yoshino’s performance which sent us into the profit for the day. I am hoping to produce similar results today, but it is a wide-open card with plenty of chances so make sure to stake accordingly throughout the day, as it could be quite a long one. Track Report: We should be racing on a Good 4 all day long with zero rain expected across the day and in the lead-up to it. The rail goes out six metres from the…
Racing is back at Randwick for the first time in yonks and it should be a cracking day. Didn’t have a great weekend last week, but we managed to finally hit a best bet! Can we keep it going and get on a bit of a streak? Let’s hope so! Track Report: Currently rated a Soft 5 and with a smattering of showers predicted it could stay that way. If not, the sun on Saturday should get the track drying out by the end of race day. Rail is in the true position and the racing should be as fair…
AFL Indigenous Round, much like any of the AFL’s one-off rounds that they put on it continues to get better every single year. The pre-game ceremonies, the embrace of our nation’s original culture and the jerseys, they all just keep outdoing the year before and it is fantastic to see. And what a round it was! There were some expected results as any round has, but plenty of upsets that continue to keep us on our toes as we get closer to the halfway point of the season that brings in the byes. First off, Port Adelaide over Melbourne. Yes,…
Yep, I know, I had yet another nudie run last weekend. But we are back at my home track and I am looking to bounce back with plenty of wins! I will also be heading back to the track to be trackside at a meeting for the first time since Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day and I am excited to get stuck back in. Let’s get into it! Track Report: The Rosehill track should dry right out and be a Good 4 by Race 1. The rail is also out 3 metres for the entire course, which means there could be…
Another relatively straightforward…ish week has just passed by in the world of AFL leaving me little to touch on outside of my 3 points. However, a few honourable mentions do indeed make the cut. First off, Mason Cox where have you been mate?! Cox turned back the clock and cemented himself as Collingwood’s go-to big guy amidst their key position injury crisis with one of the best big man performances you will see all year. He was everywhere and marking everything. Seriously, if this was America, he would probably have been checked for illegal substances on his hands at halftime.…
Ahh the Scone Cup Carnival. One of these days I am going to get up to partake in the 2-day party of racing that takes the upper hunter by storm, but sadly this year is not that day. We’ve been pretty consistent lately hitting plenty of winners each week, but still no best bet, which continues to be the bane of my existence. Let’s keep the wins coming though! Track Report: Currently rated a Soft 5, but with plenty of sunshine expect we should be seeing a Good 4 come race day. The rail goes out 3 metres the entire…
Another week of quality AFL footy has been and gone and this was one of your more straightforward weekends of footy. Nothing too shocking results-wise and some very clear goo, bad and uglies which makes my job easier. The only honourable mention to even cover is, of course, the news that is nothing special really, it is only that Tassie now officially has a team! Fantastic news for all involved is that the footy state that is the apple isle finally gains some recognition and will enter the league in just 5 short years. For anyone complaining that that is…
Saturday Racing heads to Gosford for The Coast Day in what should be a wide-open card of racing. Plenty of good Benchmark quality horses coming here reminding us that Winter racing isn’t all bad, which is a plus! Track Report: Rail is in the true position and with the sun expected to be shining we can’t expect the track to be anything worse than the Soft 5 that it is currently rated. The racing should be as fair as fair gets. Race 1 – 1200m Thymely Food Co Hcp Going rough in the first with Champer’s Girl out of the…
Another week has been and gone in the world of AFL and what on paper looked like a Round filled with one-way traffic victories managed to throw up a few surprises along the way. The Gold Coast Suns knocked off the Tigers pretty convincingly despite Touk Miller’s absence, proving that the Suns maybe do have a bit of roster depth when they’re forced to not sit on their hands and watch Rowell, Miller and Anderson do it all. Will Powell, Darcy Macpherson and Charlie Ballard were all phenomenal and if they hold their form, Gold Coast might not be as…
A solid week last weekend, managed to snag 3/9 tips that actually ran and we were very close to a couple of more. But, I know what you’re thinking, can I please hit a best bet this week?!? I’m aware that my streak is not a good look. I am determined to hit one this week. Let’s get into it. Track Report: The weather is fine at the moment in Sydney, but the rain is meant to hit HARD on Saturday. Potentially 30mm of rain is meant to fall on Saturday an that is enough to tip the track right…
