ANZAC Round has been and gone and it was touching as ever. The AFL is to be commended for the poise and respect that they present this round with each and every year. Nick has been to the ANZAC Day clash for the last two years and the only way he describes it to me is pure ‘Goosebumps’. Essendon almost pulled off a tremendous upset to prove they are the real deal this year, but they sat down when they need to stand. Nick Daicos is a freak! 40 touches and a couple of goals to win the ANZAC Medal…

We got back on track last weekend and manage to snag a few wins to finish off the carnival on a high. Now back to plain old Saturday Benchmark racing until August comes around. But, at least we get a few weeks of Provincial and Country tracks getting some love and hosting the feature meetings. This week we go to Hawkesbury for Cup and Guineas Day. Let’s snag a few more wins! Track Report: The weather is fine, the track is currently Soft 5 and with only minimal rain predicted until Saturday, we should either be on the dry Good…

What a week that we have just witnessed! With upsets, down-to-the-wire clashes and superstar-making performances, the season isn’t slowing down any time soon. We won’t talk at length about the success that was AFL Gather Round (Spoiler, it’s our Good section). But, there are a few honourable mentions to talk about. There wasn’t a whole lot of negative things happening in the footy landscape this week, but there was plenty of highlights. First off, Carlton being completely blitzed by the hometown heroes. Adelaide’s captain, Jordan Dawson, was the star of the show, leading from the front with plenty of touches…

Well, last week was another one that didn’t go to plan/ 2nd nudie run straight, 4th for the year. Let’s not touch on the negatives and like a little blue fish once said, let’s just keep swimming! Big day to finish off the Autumn Racing Carnival, let’s back some winners! Track Report: The track is an interesting one this week, rail out 7 metres for the 1000m-winning post and out 4 metres for the remainder so while the leaders on the inside could be advantaged quite a bit, I have spoken to a few people and they say the track…

We are a month into the AFL competition and I can already say that this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years we have seen in a long time. 2022 was jam-packed enough with a down-to-the-last-day chase for the finals and a multitude of narratives overlapping throughout the season creating Drive To Survive levels of drama. I think we can top that this year. Just look at Round 4 – some careers were kickstarted, and some looked like they were tragically coming to an end, as well as kicks after the siren, down-to-the-wire clashes, a string…

Well, last week certainly didn’t go to plan did it? Way more rain came down than anyone expected and the track ended up being a complete write-off. We had $30 horses getting up left, right and centre and even a $70 horse. But to be fair, that is pretty appropriate considering the $70 winner came in the Highway Grand Final. It was carnage, we didn’t snag a single winner, we are back in the red and it is time to bounce back! Track Report: Day 2 of The Championships with the Middle Distance and Stayers getting their season grand finals…

The topsy-turvy world of the AFL continues with yet another mind-boggling round of upsets and thrashings that make little sense. North were brought back to reality, as were Essendon. The Swans of all teams were dominated by 50 points and Geelong confirm a shockingly bad Premiership hangover with a lifeless effort against the Suns. We’ve already had so much go wrong in theory and we are only 3 weeks in and that my friends is why the sport of AFL is so bloody entertaining. If anything, it’s far more exciting this way, with every match being must-watch, as you just…

Another fantastic outing last weekend with a few winners including Bacchanalia at $10! We hope the momentum keeps on rolling now we are officially back into the green with a positive ROI! The Grand Finals of racing are upon us and honestly, this is the hardest card of racing I have ever tried to unpack. But let’s try and locate some winners! Track Report: Rail is in the true and I expect us to either be in Good 4 or Soft 5 territory come race day with some showers expected on Saturday as well, if that rain falls, can’t see…

What a topsy-turvy season of AFL this is already shaping out to be and it’s only Round 2! Essendon and St Kilda find themselves in the Top 4 and North Melbourne are in the Top 8 and all 3 of them are 2-0. If you try and claim you had predicted that pre-season, you would be flat-out lying to both me and yourself, so don’t be THAT guy. There were 2 kinds of power outages this round, with the lights shockingly going dark at The Gabba on Friday Night. Then less than 24 hours later, the Port Adelaide Football Club…

We are back for the last week of trying to hack the Autumn Carnival with some Futures Bets. Last week we just sat back and watched with a few refunds coming our way and now we will reinvest them for the rest of the carnival and in particular, the Championships! If you’re new here, essentially whenever we see a price we like for a horse we think has the goods, we will jump on it and post about it in this weekly column! Cleveland – Sydney Cup – $9 (All In) on Sportsbet We have already had a play on…
