Co-Founder of The Mock Sports Head of Horse Racing Love to throw a punting tip out or three, as well as telling my opinion on sports to anybody who will listen!

Oh boy, this is getting frustrating! Last weekend, I almost tipped the card in pure Silver, no, that isn’t a brag I know that. Sounds awfully familiar to last week when I was annoyed I almost tipped a card in bronze doesn’t it? But this one stings just that little bit more. Enough of this bonus bet stuff, let’s get some more wins! Track Report: When it comes to the track it is currently rated a Good 4 and it will start as such on race day, but with the heat, it could certainly reach a Good 3 point at…

With the NRL expanding to a 17-team competition this year by adding the Redcliffe Dolphins or just ‘The Dolphins’ as the league is hell-bent on calling them, it got me thinking about all the previous clubs that have come and gone in this great league of ours. Some are still kicking as we know, come on the mighty Newtown Jets! Whereas others died a very abrupt and hopefully painless death and haven’t been seen since their departure from the comp. So let’s take a look at all 17 of them and see where they did indeed end up! We’ve already…

We are only a couple of weeks away from the Autumn Carnival kicking off at Randwick with the Inglis Millenium. So, during this carnival, we will be looking to uncover plenty of value and grab some overs by playing the ever-mystical, always unpredictable Futures Market. Whenever we see a price we like for a horse we think has the goods, we will jump on it and post about it in this weekly column! Let’s crack on to the first one! Dunkel – Australian Derby – $51 on TAB (PRE NOMS) $51 Pre-Noms for this horse? Are you kidding me!? This…

Late last year, the AFL confirmed that in 2024 a new tradition would begin within the competition – an Indigenous Vs Multicultural All-Stars Game. Fans have been clamouring for an All-Star game within the AFL for years now and I think this is a perfect way to bring that idea to fruition. After all, the concept has been used for years within junior football and camps are held every year for these squads to compete against each other and learn about their respective cultures. I personally have had multiple friends attend said camps and play in the games and they…

There have been many boardroom battles in the space of Australian Sport throughout history – the ARL/Super League War and the World Series Cricket saga are just two that come to mind immediately. The most recent is of course Racing NSW and Peter V’landys Vs. VIC Racing in general. Since V’Landys took over the racing space in NSW, all the way back in 2004, he has been fully focused on making sure that NSW was where the premiere Horse Racing occurred both in the country and the world. At first, the moves on the campaign trail were subtle, yet prosperous,…

The stars are back! Jacquinot on Thursday and now Golden Mile and Forbidden Love make their returns in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes, won’t that be a doozy! Last weekend, I almost tipped the card in pure bronze, no, that isn’t a brag I know that. But you would’ve made a bit of money on place multis! Insert a laughing emoji into an aggressive crying emoji. The bounce back comes this weekend! Track Report: The rain is very on and off in Sydney at the moment, the track is currently rated a Soft 6 and if the rain continues, that…

Australia Day is here for another year and so are the traditional Australia Day races at Warwick Farm! I have had a look through the card and I have found some bets that I am willing to play. Let’s get stuck in! Warwick Farm race 3 – Glowing Gold This Maher and Eustace filly is flying at the moment! Rising through the grades nicely from Bathurst to Canberra to Canterbury, winning everywhere she goes. She comes here looking to make it 4 on the bounce and I think she will. She has been strong through the line on all occasions…

This week the races finally return to Randwick after a couple of weeks out west at Rosehill and the listed Carrington Stakes takes centre stage. Track Report: The rain has been spotty in Sydney, but the track has held up completely and should be a Soft 5 or Soft 6 at worst and a Good 4 at best. The rail is out four metres for the entire circuit so the leaders could have a day out, especially if the rail is hot. Race 1 – 1000M Petaluma Hcp The 2YO race of the card and as always they are extremely…
